Our Mission

The mission of the Chicago Bible Society, written over 100 years ago, is to “distribute the Bible and to foster its serious reading.”

Today, the circumstances have changed, but the core mission remains the same: Bringing access to God’s Word to a world that needs—now more than ever—to hear the Good News, and promoting the study and understanding of the Bible.

Our Organization

The Chicago Bible Society is incorporated in the State of Illinois as a non-profit organization, and is tax-exempt under federal revenue code section 501 (c) (3).  Donations to the Chicago Bible Society are tax deductable.  A copy of our federal tax return (Form 990) is available upon request.

Our Finances

The Society is dependent upon financial donations to carry out its mission. The Chicago Bible Society seeks the assistance  of those who believe that the Bible can and does change lives for the better and want to help provide this precious gift to those who otherwise have no way of reading God’s Word
